One of a kind, this coat was made to celebrate! I had overcome, and I wanted to celebrate that by honouring the mountain, the immovable, consistently solid foundation that I created within. I wore this Jacket to an event in 2022 that completely changed my life.
It has many inspirations, but I am always heavily inspired by Japanese art and Samurai culture. I often use the influence of the Haori Jacket, usually worn over a Kimono.
This is lined and has thick padding inside. A high collar to cover the neck. It has ties on the sleeve to narrow them and one to close the front.
The whole piece is patchwork with many days of sewing just to make the patterns, as there are many styles. There is also a patchwork appliqué on the back.
